Rabbi’s Message – May 11, 2023
This week we complete our reading from the book of Leviticus and recite together: “Hazak, hazak v’nithazek,” or “be strong, be strong, and strengthen one another.” These words are especially apropos for us this weekend as we celebrate our Lamed Vav and Life and Legacy supporters.
One of the wonderful things about our congregation is that we welcome new members, regardless of their financial means. But to be able to make this possible, we rely on the good will and generous hearts of others in our community. We are grateful for those who voluntarily choose to support the Temple at a higher level. We are also grateful to those who have made a commitment to leave a legacy at Temple Israel. Even if it is seems like a small commitment, putting Temple into your will at any level is a wonderful way to give back and ensure our longevity as a congregation. Thank you to those of you who have chosen to be a part of one or both of these groups and for supporting the vision and values of Temple Israel.
Please join me on Saturday morning at 10:30AM at Temple as we celebrate these generous individuals and reiterate how important it Is for us to come together and bless one another with strength, both individually and communally.
