One of the things people look forward to most at the Jewish Cultural Festival each year is the energy of the entertainment stage (and, let’s be honest, the irresistible baked goods). This year’s lineup brings some of the Dayton area’s most talented artists together for a full day of music, laughter, and dance. Throughout the day, festival guests can relax, tap their toes, laugh a little, and maybe even get up and join the fun as a variety of local performers bring the stage to life.

Comedian Karen Jaffe will take the stage with her quick wit and relatable humor. Karen has performed in comedy clubs and independent shows across the country, but she always enjoys coming back to share her comedy with a hometown audience! Her material touches on everything from reinvention and family expectations to the small traumas of everyday customer service. As Karen likes to say, laughter is cheaper than therapy—though both are extremely important.

Festival favorite The Flying Klezmerians return with the lively sounds of traditional klezmer music. Their spirited melodies capture the joyful energy of Eastern European Jewish musical traditions and are guaranteed to get hands clapping and feet moving. We’re also delighted to welcome Mary, Marc, and Steve, a trio known locally for their rich harmonies and easygoing style. Their set blends familiar favorites with heartfelt performances that create the perfect laid-back festival atmosphere. Adding color and movement to the day are The Shimmy Cats, whose vibrant dance performances bring rhythm, sparkle, and fun to the stage. Their energy is infectious and their performances always draw a crowd. Festival-goers can also enjoy rising local talent from Price Music Studio, led by Angelé Price. These young musicians will share their skills and enthusiasm with festival guests, showcasing a selection of songs from Jewish artists. From comedy to klezmer, harmony to dance, this year’s entertainment lineup reflects the creativity and spirit of our community. Whether you stop by for one act or spend the afternoon by the stage, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Our festival is about bringing people together, celebrating Jewish culture, and sharing a joyful day with the wider community—and great live entertainment is a big part of that experience.
