Holocaust Survivor: Dr. Felix Garfunkel

Dr. “Felix” Garfunkel was born in Romania in 1931. He lived in the Soviet Union, survived 2 concentration camps, and lived in South America before moving to the U.S in 1958. Since 1965 Felix has lived in Dayton, OH working as a radiologist and heading the department until his retirement in 2010. Please join us as Felix shares his story of survival, perseverance, and his parents. Register online.

An Exploration of the Jewish Short Story

Read a Jewish short story (and we mean short), and come to a follow-up discussion, held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. You will make new friends, renew your current friendships, and deepen your understanding of Jewish life through the ages in a welcoming, engaging forum. If you are new to this discussion group, learn more & register online.
