Temple Israel’s educational programming provides our students (of all ages) with the tools necessary to engage in meaningful and rich Jewish study. We have opportunities available for all stages of life including pre-school, grade-school, high-school, and adults.

Throughout the year we offer a variety of learning sessions, such as weekly drop-in classes, Hebrew classes, mini-courses, guest lecturers, and retreats.

We also hold a yearly Day of Learning, offering the greater Dayton community an opportunity to learn from our rabbis and teaching faculty at no charge.  It is an excellent sampling of the educational programming we offer. In addition, our rabbis help facilitate a community learning program called Introduction to Judaism.

In addition to our classes, our Rabbi Louis Witt Library and Learning Resource Center together hold more than 7,000 volumes of Jewish literature, the largest Jewish library in the Dayton area. For your convenience, our catalogue of books is conveniently available online.
