Those who are living with illness, grieving, caring for others, or seeking wholeness on any level are invited to participate in a service of healing and hope with Rabbi Bodney-Halasz on the third Friday of many months. Please check the Temple calendar for service times and dates. The service is also for those in our community who wish to support and provide compassion for others during trying times. The service combines traditional liturgy, music and personal stories to inspire, strengthen, support and console.
At Friday evening services, Temple includes a prayer for healing. We invite you to send us the name(s) of loved ones you would like the congregation to remember and include in our prayers. Temple reads the names we’ve been given before singing or reading the Mi Shebeirach prayer, a request for blessing usually included in the Torah service. The prayer requests both physical and spiritual healing within the community of others facing illness.
The rabbis also hope to support our members facing illness or difficulties in the hospital or at home. Because hospitals no longer release lists of patients, please let us know of someone who might appreciate a call or visit.
