Food and Drink

To our amazing community:

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone our 10th Anniversary Jewish Cultural to 2021.  We are truly grateful to all of our community partners and volunteers, and look forward to next year when we can come together and celebrate.  If you would like to support Temple Israel, we encourage you to donate online to support our efforts to assist community members in need at this time.

Food and Drinks

What would a cultural festival be without delicious food and satisfying beverages!  We love to share our favorite food and drinks with all festival visitors and give you a (literal) taste of Judaism.  Attendees have enjoyed Jewish food as prepared by El MesonPasha Grill, and Bernstein's Catering.

The menu includes foods Jews have eaten around the world and some new dishes you may only taste here: traditional Middle Eastern falafel and hummus, brisket tacos, Jewish delicatessen favorites (pickles included!), and a sampling of vegetarian dishes.  And who could forget the kosher hot dogs!?

Our Temple bakery members prepared scrumptious cookies and breads for you to taste and take home.  Special treats included handmade challah, honey cake, rugelach, hamentashen, and mandel bread.   Graeter's Ice Cream was also on hand with all of your favorite (kosher) flavors.

To wash down that amazing food and those delicious treats, attendees can enjoy an assortment of craft beers from the Dayton Beer Company and a selection of Dr. Brown's sodas, a staple of delicatessens around the country.

We look forward to sharing all of the deliciousness with you in 2021!  Stay safe and be healthy.
